Originally scheduled to run through June 25, Joe Penhall's BLUE/ORANGE has extended until July 2, 2016 at the Young Vic. David Haig will join Daniel Kaluuya and Luke Norris in the cast when the production begins tonight, May 12.

Olivier winner for OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD at the Royal Court, David Haig has also starred in the West End in GUYS AND DOLLS, THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III and MARY POPPINS, as well as ART on Broadway.

Among his other UK stage credits are YES, PRIME MINISTER at Chichester and in London, LOOT at the Tricycle, THE COUNTRY WIFE and THE SEA at the Royal Haymarket, DONKEYS' YEARS and JOURNEY'S END at the Comedy Theatre, LIFE X 3 at the Savoy, HITCHCOCK BLONDE at the Royal Court, and the tour of MY BOY JACK, which he also wrote.

The Young Vic's official description of BLUE/ORANGE reads: "Christopher has been confined to a psychiatric ward for a month. He wants out. The problem is he still thinks oranges are blue. His doctor, convinced he needs help, wants to section him. The senior consultant thinks it's all a question of culture: at home in Shepherd's Bush Christopher will be amongst 'people who think just like him'. And besides, it costs taxpayer money to keep Christopher in care. Race, ethics, sanity and prejudice collide in Joe Penhall's exquisitely sharp 'state of the nation' classic. Matthew Xia directs this Olivier Award-winning play, as timely now as it ever was."

BLUE/ORANGE will feature design by Jeremy Herbert, lighting by Adam Silverman, sound by Carolyn Downing, and movement by Joseph Alford. Click here for tickets and more information.
