Producers Robert Ahrens, Tara Smith, Brian Swibel and Mickey Conlon have announced that Jackie Hoffman and Mary Testa have been added to the cast of the new Broadway musical XANADU opening on Tuesday, June 26th at the Helen Hayes Theatre, 240 West 44th Street. Previews to begin on May 23rd.

Christopher Ashley directs the new musical based on the film version of the same name. Douglas Carter Beane has provided the book and the score features all of the hits from the film including "Magic", "Xanadu", "Party All Over the World", and "I'm Alive", all top 20 Billboard hits. Score was written by John Farrar and Jeff Lynne. Dan Knechtges is set to choreograph.

Mary Testa, who has appeared numerous Broadway shows including "Chicago", "42nd Street", "Marie Christine", "On The Town", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" and "The Rink", will play the role of Melpomeny, the evil muse of tragedy and Jackie Hoffman joins her as Calliope, the muse of epic. Hoffman played the role of Prudy Pingleton in Broadway's "Hairspray" and has received great acclaim for her own one woman show "Jackie with a Z", which she recently performed at Joe's Pub.
