Pacific Theatre today announced another season of theatre that matters for its 2012-2013 season.

Including guest producers in the season has always been a part of Pacific Theatre’s model of supporting core emerging artists, and now more than ever it is an essential tool to offering a season that is not only financially viable, but that includes the variety of voices and perspectives.

Pacific Theatre will present brand new company Compassionate Bone Theatre, run by core artists Angela Konrad (director, Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, Grace), former apprentice and winner of the Sam Payne Award for Most Promising Newcomer Evan Frayne, and Lois Dawson, with their production of Mother Teresa is Dead by Helen Edmundson.

Also featured this season is Leave of Absence, a new play by local dynamo Lucia Frangione.  As Pacific Theatre’s first ever apprentice, Frangione has been a part of the Pacific Theatre family since her career began and has had many of her plays developed and premiered on the Pacific Theatre stage.  Pacific Theatre is partnering with GayVancouver.net, QMUNITY, and Dignity for community outreach on this production.
