One of Ireland's leading new writing companies Fishamble comes to London for a limited run at Soho Theatre upstairs with Silent, the multi award-winning one-man show, written and performed by Pat Kinevane.

Directed by Fishamble's Artistic Director Jim Culleton, Silent is a vivid and compelling portrait of a man on the margins whose turbulent descent is drawn with an authentic yet playful allure.

Tino McGoldrig had many splendid things. But he has lost it all - including his mind. He now dives into the raw and wonderful wounds of his past through the romantic world
of his namesake Rudolph Valentino. At once brilliantly comic, true and touching, Silent probes a dark and unsettling experience not uncommon in the Irish psyche with charm, humour and conviction.

Silent won the Fringe First and Herald Angel awards at Edinburgh and an Argus Angel award at Brighton. It has enjoyed a hugely successful International tour having visited 18 countries worldwide and now it is making its London premiere.

Pat Kinevane is one Ireland's best loved actors. He has worked as an actor in theatre, film, radio and television for the past twenty years. His previous plays for Fishamble include The Nun's Wood, The Plains of Enna, Forgotten and Underneath. Other acting credits include Shoe, Black Day at Blackrock, A Mother's Love's A Blessing, King Arthur, Ballykissangel, I Keano and The Late Late Show Murder Mystery.

Fishamble: The New Play Company has been at the centre of new work in Irish theatre for 25 years. It has won numerous awards for its productions which have toured extensively
in Ireland, as well as to the UK, US, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. The company has previously played at London's Tricycle theatre with Sebastian Barry's The Pride of Parnell Street and Robert Massey's Rank.

Fishamble: The New Play Company is funded by the Arts Council and Dublin City Council. International touring is supported by Culture Ireland.

Silent forms part of Soho Theatre's Solo Season 2015, celebrating the most exciting solo performances. #SohoSolo
