Race down to the all new look DISCOVER CHILDREN'S STORY CENTRE this Half Term (24-28 October 2016) and learn to drive in this immersive family theatre show READY STEADY GO! - grab your tool kit, choose your car colour and drive! Plus DISCOVER's STRATFORD LIBRARY TAKEOVER - a daily line-up of beloved children's authors and illustrators including Nick Butterworth, A.F. Harrold, Chris Haughton and Gareth P. Jones (24-27 October 2016.)

READY STEADY GO! - is a live creative musical storytelling art show, that invites all the audience to individually colour their own cut-out car. Once wearing their newly painted car, the story accelerates through a bubbly car wash and road works, to a hazardous snowy road plus learning to stop at the zebra crossing - having fun learning road safety and passing your driving test at the same time! Then drive your unique car home!

A Line Art's Anna Bruder and Arji Manuelpillai say: "Ready Steady Go! brings together all of our favourite things. Family, colouring-in, cardboard cars, music and a whole heap of laughter." Having met at the Young Vic, their acclaimed theatre work with young people, children and adults has been enjoyed worldwide - and they've even designed the set for Jimmy Choo's 2015/16 shoe collection launch! A Line Art now brings their inspiring creativity to DISCOVER.

And even more fun over half term with a mini literary festival - DISCOVER'S STRATFORD LIBRARY TAKEOVER at Stratford Library from Monday 24 - Thursday 27 October with a daily line-up of beloved children's authors and illustrators. Kicking off DISCOVER'S STRATFORD LIBRARY TAKEOVER on Monday 24 October will be Nick Butterworth, bestselling author of Percy the Park Keeper and Q Pootle 5, now a hit animated series on CBeebies. Nick will present an interactive show with live-drawing, stories and a behind-the-scenes peek at how his little alien Q Pootle 5 jumped from page to screen - age 3+.

Tuesday 25 October will see author and poet A.F. Harrold brings laughter, poetry and plenty of imagination (The Imaginary and the Fizzlebert Stump Series) - age 7+.

Wednesday 26 October Chris Haughton presents his new book Goodnight Everyone in an action-packed interactive family event full of stories, fun trailers, clever props, dancing and drawing games - age3+.

And on Thursday 27 October award-winning author Gareth P. Jones (Mystery Murder and Murder Mystery) brings the world of his Thornthwaite Twins series to life in a murder mystery interactive storytelling with sinister shenanigans - age 7+.

And don't forget Halloween which calls for something extra spooky at DISCOVER with horrible show A HORRID Henry HallOWEEN, where Henry can deliver scarier jokes than you.....or can he?!Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October at 12.30pm and 2.30pm - booking essential!

A Horrid Henry Halloween: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October: 12.30pm & 2.30pm. Session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
