NOVEMBER SCHEDULE AT THE PHEASANTRY (Kings Road, London):

Nov 1 -3 Anita Gillette & Harold Sanditen in 'Harold and Broad'. In their delightfully fun new show, these two charmers team up for the first time to perform favourite songs from their respective birth years. Singing songs such as "Just In Time," "Let Yourself Go" along with gems by Bonnie Raitt, John Lennon, Jerome Kern and Kurt Weill, they will be reflecting the wisdom gained from age and experience. "Harold and Broad" is a wry, wise and moving celebration devoted to the enduring bond of friendship. Ticket price: £20

Nov 4 ARSHID AZARINE is a Franco-Iranian musician and composer, as well as being a high profile consultant in cardio vascular imaging, His 'Persian sketches for piano' is a selection of original compositions, based on improvisations and Persian poetry - a fusion between Persian traditional music and jazz. Ticket price £12

Nov 5 Pete Atkin sings the lyrics of Clive James. Pete started his songwriting partnership with Clive James (yes, that Clive James) when they were students together, a lifetime ago. They have continued ever since, producing a collection of memorable songs, which are funny, sad, beautiful, and true. They range from folk to jazz-rock, from Tin Pan Alley to 60s pop. This is an all-too-rare opportunity to hear Pete bring these songs to life, with the help of pianist Simon Wallace. Ticket price: £18

Nov 6 Kate Dimbleby AND NAADIA SHERIFF Nationally acclaimed jazz/blues singer Kate Dimbleby and pianist Naadia Sheriff return to the Pheasantry (with bassist Julie Walkington) with a brand new songbook of soulful and mischievous songs inspired by the female songwriters of the 1970's. Kate and Naadia's album 'Beware of Young Girls: the songs of Dory Previn' was one of the Top Ten Albums of the Year (Sunday Times). Their show, based on the life of Dory Previn, toured the UK and off-Broadway in 2015. Ticket price: £18

Nov 7 & 8 NICKY GAYNER'S Hooray For Love. Following the success of Nicky's 'Empty Nest' at The Pheasantry, she is delighted to return with her new show. 'Hooray For Love' a musical celebration of our universal quest for love. From childhood crush to lasting romance, Nicky takes us on a musical journey through the highs and lows of finding and losing love. Ticket price £18

November 9 -13 Ann Hampton Callaway AND Amanda McBroom. This sensational concert series presents two of today's most celebrated songwriting divas - jazz great Ann Hampton Callaway and cabaret star Amanda McBroom, accompanied by yet another great songwriter, Michele Brourman. This is a rare opportunity to hear these two sisters in song share a stage for the first time. Ticket price: £35

Nov 14 & 15 KIRK MACDONALD TRIO. The Pheasantry is proud to welcome Canadian jazz great, Kirk MacDonald, in a rare UK appearance. Kirk has long been recognized as one of Canada's leading saxophonists and composers, with 2 Juno Awards (Canadian Grammy) and 6 nominations, along with a wealth of outstanding original music to his credit. He has been described as "A bridge between traditional and modern saxophone playing". MacDonald has over 50 CDs to his credit. Ticket price £18

Nov 16 Joanna Strand AND Jacqui Tate Joanna and Jacqui bring their brand new duo show to The Pheasantry, with original arrangements of songs by Piaf, Legrand, Rogers and Hammerstein and many more. Expect a hilarious, and musically thrilling night of popular and jazz standards, with duos arranged with great pizzazz for a band as big as can fit onto the stage of The Pheasantry. Nov 17 POLLY GIBBONS WITH James Pearson TRIO Polly Gibbons is one of the most respected and talked about young singer/songwriters of her generation. Much esteemed by her contemporaries, Polly has built a reputation as being an original and gifted voice. In this special EFG London Jazz Festival performance, she will be joined by regular collaborator, celebrated pianist James Pearson. Ticket price: £15

Nov 18 Fran Landesman SONGBOOK WITH Ian Shaw AND SARAH MOULE. Best known for standards such as 'Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most' and 'Ballad of the Sad Young Men', lyricist Fran Landesman spent the last 17 years of her life writing with UK composer Simon Wallace - "an enduring creative relationship that produced some of her finest work" (The Guardian). Sarah Moule became their mouthpiece and muse, recording four highly acclaimed CDs and Ian Shaw widely regarded as the UK's finest male jazz vocalist, was an enthusiastic champion. In 2011, with Simon Wallace on piano, he recorded 'A Ghost In Every Bar, The Lyrics Of Fran Landesman'. This special EFG London Jazz Festival show marks the official launch of the 'Fran Landesman & Simon Wallace Songbook. Ticket price: £20

Nov 19 DOMINIC ALLDIS 'The Songs of Michael Legrand' Dominic Alldis will be performing favourite songs by the wonderful film composer Michel Legrand - 'Windmills of My Mind', 'What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life...' as well as jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Three fabulous jazz musicians will join him on stage: Andrew Cleyndert (bass), Dominic Ashworth (guitar) and Adam Glasser on jazz harmonica. Ticket price: £15

Nov 20 SNAPPY TITLE SPOTLIGHT: THE SONGS OF Mark GoldthorpE a highly respected actor and musician, Goldthorpe has appeared on the West End stage (Avenue Q, Sunset Boulevard, Matilda) and on TV (My Family, Sarah Jane Adventures). He is also a prolific composer of songs and musicals and this show offers the chance to hear the best of his output performed by a wonderful cast of performers, featuring Dianne Pilkington, Caroline Sheen, Alice Fearn, Matt Harrop, Martin Neely, Tim Rogers and Patrick Smyth. Nov 21 CABARET CONFIDENTIAL Celebrating 10 years of showcasing up-and coming musical theatre and cabaret talent, host Jamie Anderson and resident pianist Simon Budd introduce four more eclectic and diverse vocalists in this popular monthly event. Ticket price: £13.50

Nov 22 AN EVENING WITH STEPHEN DE MARTIN AND DAVID ROPER For 10 years, Stephen & David sang, played and shimmied as the original members of Jonathan Ross's camp house band, 4 Poofs and a Piano on his Friday Night with Jonathan Ross show on BBC1. They enjoyed a frenzied life on the road including touring with the legendary Joan Collins on her 2006 UK Tour and enjoyed several appearances at the Glastonbury festival and were the Edinburgh fringe darlings for many years with a huge fan base including Tim Minchin & Julie Waters. Nov 23 THE HAYWOOD SISTERS By popular demand The Haywood Sisters return to The Pheasantry to perform hits through the decades as well as songs from their brand new album, Adventuress. With killer curves, sweet harmonies and a cheeky sense of humour, an evening with these glamorous ladies is guaranteed to get everyone's toes tapping. Ticket price: £20

Nov 24 PAUL DUNTON AND GUESTS Paul Dunton presents an evening of top quality, original independent music from a selection of his acclaimed roster of unique talent that comprises an incredible 450 acts. Ticket price: £7

Nov 25 & 26 Sally Ann Triplett makes a welcome return to The Pheasantry after five years. Join her as she takes a journey through her colourful career. She has represented Britain twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, been lead singer in a rock band, performed in countless West End Shows (Anything Goes, Mamma Mia, Cats, Chicago, Grease, Guys And Dolls, Viva Forever, Follies, Chess, Acorn Antiques, Jolson), was Ricky's fiancée in Eastenders, and even rode elephants in a circus! Sally Ann Triplett will be joined by pianist Stefan Bednarczyk. Ticket price: £20

Nov 27 - 29 GILES TERARA The Kings Road Piano...(And Other Friends) This intimate new solo show features songs from Giles's career and life. Music from shows such as Avenue Q, The Rat Pack, Rent, Candide, Book Of Mormon, Honk!, Porgy and Bess, Pure Imagination, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and many more. Giles will be joined onstage by a number of very special guests from the world of musical theatre. Ticket price: £20

Nov 30 THAT TRING THING a cabaret evening showcasing current students alongside recent graduates from the Musical Theatre Course at Tring Park. Successful alumni from the programme include Lily James (Cinderella) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars), so expect great things from this unique event, featuring the very best of fresh new talent. With programming and arrangements from Musical Director Simon Sharp, the show covers a broad stylistic range from classic to contemporary musical theatre, jazz, pop and new writing.
