Eight stories high on the roof of a Parramatta carpark, seven musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds will create an amazing new sound in the world-premiere of Worlds Collide, presented by the Sydney Sacred Music Festival and Riverside Theatres.

Worlds Collide is an awe-inspiring multimedia performance, combining contemporary world and electronic dance music alongside video projections, interactive dance workshops and art installations by the Internationally renowned Khaled Sabsabi, Marian Abood and Ghasan Saaid.

The performance will bring together some of the best world musicians in Sydney including acoustic world fusion from Shohrat Tursun Trio, South Asian underground beats from Coco Varma's Sitar Funk, Latin music from Victor Valdes, hip hop rhymes from Esky Emcee and vocals from indie rock band Blue Mary's singer, Maria Mitar.

Direction will be provided by Richard Petkovic, artistic director of the Sydney Sacred Music Festival and music director of the Sydney World Music Chamber Orchestra.

Petkovic said "Worlds Collide will invite the audience to move their bodies, from meditative drones and sacred African chants, to full on dance beats with soaring vocals and hip hop rhymes. This performance is designed to change the internal chemistry of the listener. Get ready for a new sound of multicultural Australia."
