Direct from the stage and straight to the cinema screen, Australian National Theatre Live in partnership with the Sydney Theatre Company will premiere the wildly popular Wharf Revue, at Dendy Opera Quays on May 9th, followed by a nationwide cinema release including major Arts Centres and outback community halls.

With their 15 years of unrelenting satire outlasting many of the politicians they sent up, The Wharf Revue anniversary edition will present a who's who of 21st century embarrassments, from politicians to celebrities. Written and performed by Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe, Phillip Scott and Amanda Bishop, the show reminds us of the good, the bad and the downright ugly moments of Australian politics some would rather us forget.

Among them, Julia and Kevin play Phantom of The Opera; Hawke and Keating organise numbers at the nursing home; Gina and Clive sail off on the Titanic; Mark Latham sings an operatic diary and George Brandis slips into a tutu for a biting satirical musical.

Filmed live on stage at the STC's Wharf Theatre, The Wharf Revue: Celebrating 15 years is the perfect opportunity to see the production for the first time or to experience the thrill all over again. The Wharf Revue will premiere on-screen at Dendy Opera Quays on 9th May, followed by selected screenings around the country.
