American Lives Theatre Opens SANCTUARY CITY

American Lives Theatre (ALT) is making local history by producing the Indiana premiere of 'Sanctuary City' by Martyna Majok. This production, which begins performances on September 7, will feature a cast of three Indy actors, all of whom were born in the United States to parents who were not.

Carmel Jazz Fest To Feature Kids Zone With Mr. Daniel, 4 University Jazz Bands And The Great Dave Bennett

Kids can experience the joy of music with the newest addition to Carmel Jazz Fest: A Kids Zone at Carter Green for kids 12 and under (who are admitted for free) with the popular kids entertainer, Mr. Daniel. The Kids Zone will take place both days of the festival, August 11-12.

San Diego Opera's THE FALLING AND THE RISING To Feature Active Military In Singing Roles

Inaugural Carmel Jazz Festival Set For This August

The inaugural Carmel Jazz Fest is scheduled for August 11 and 12, 2023, in Carmel, IN. The two-day festival will feature 30+ international, national and regional jazz, R&B and blues acts across eight stages throughout Carmel, including The Palladium, The Tarkington, Carmel Gazebo, Carter Green, The Studio Theatre, Midtown Plaza, Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael, Jazz on the Monon and pop-up performances.  The event includes an upscale art market, beer, wine and food vendors.

CSz Indianapolis Celebrates 30 Years

As it moves into the final stretch of its 25th anniversary season, Schmidt Vocal Arts (SVA) is eagerly anticipating the final destination: from June 3–5, 2022, Sarasota Opera will host over 30 singers – the top three winners from each of 13 regional competitions and from an independent, virtual cohort are eligible – competing in the company's William E. Schmidt Opera Theatre for the first national award in the Schmidt Vocal Competition's history.
