On Sunday, May 5 at 6:30p.m., experience Compagnia de'Colombari's Whitman on Walls! (WoW!) Harlem at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park inside the Robert Frederick Smith Center for Performing Arts (679 Riverside Drive at 145th Street in Harlem).

This August, the Bard Music Festival returns for its 34th season with an intensive two-week exploration of “Berlioz and His World.” In eleven themed concert programs, the festival examines the life and times of visionary French composer Hector Berlioz, whose grand-scale works, startling sonorities, and advanced literary leanings helped redefine musical Romanticism.

On Saturday, May 11th, the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Elizabeth Schulze will cap off its season with a fitting Season Finale featuring works by Chinese Pipa virtuoso Gao Hong, piano legend Rachmaninoff, and story-teller extraordinaire Rimsky-Korsakov, plus the talents of guest pianist Terrence Wilson, and ASO's concertmaster Ludek Wojtkowski. 

Opening June 22 at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College’s (CCS Bard) Hessel Museum of Art, Remember to Dream revisits the range and breadth of Carrie Mae Weems’ prolific career through seldom displayed and lesser-known works that demonstrate the evolution of her pioneering, politically engaged practice.
