The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) is proud to announce its 2009-2010 season of performances on the Mainstage and in the Studio Theatre.

The Mainstage series opens at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts (130 Edgar Road, Webster Groves) on September 11, 2009 (public previews September 9-10) with a new production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus, directed by Paul Mason Barnes.

Other productions in the Mainstage series, which continues through April 2010, include the deliciously twisty thriller Sleuth; a delightful stage adaptation of a classic holiday film, A Christmas Story, perfect for the entire family; a madcap romp where Alfred Hitchcock meets absolute hilarity in The 39 Steps; the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-honored drama The Diary of Anne Frank; and the gentle, beguiling and romantic The Fantasticks, recognized by Guinness as the longest-running musical in the world.

The Studio Theatre series, performed in the intimate 125-seat black box Emerson Studio at the Loretto-Hilton Center, opens October 30 (public previews October 28-29) with Bob Clyman's modern medical thriller Secret Order, directed by Risa Brainin.

Other productions in the Studio Theatre series, which continues through March 2010, include the unpredictable meta-musical [title of show] and an audacious three-actor adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment.

([title of show] will be produced pending release of rights.)
