Washington Pavilion Welcomes New Marketing Director
The Washington Pavilion has announced the hiring of Rebecca Sevening as the new Director of Marketing. Rebecca began her work on June 16, 2014.
Rebecca, a Certified Business Communicator, has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and an Art minor from University of South Dakota. She brings 18 years of professional marketing experience to her new role at the Pavilion.
Previously Rebecca has held marketing roles at Sioux Falls organizations Sanford Health and POET, in addition to organizations located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Additionally, she has held volunteer leadership positions with South Dakota non-profit organizations.
"Rebecca's marketing expertise, coupled with both her proven ability as a communication strategist and knowledge of the community will be invaluable to the Washington Pavilion as we move forward," says Scott Petersen, Washington Pavilion Co-President.
Rebecca says she looks forward to her new position. "The Washington Pavilion is the region's home for the arts, entertainment and science, and a treasure for our community and region. I'm thrilled to help promote the many wonderful offerings and programs here at the Pavilion."
Rebecca, her husband Rod, and their two daughters have been Sioux Falls residents for more than 10 years.
Please note that Michele Wellman, who served as the Director of Marketing for the last 6 years has taken on a new role at the Washington Pavilion as the Director of Public Relations. As the Director of Public Relations, Michele serves as a liaison between Washington Pavilion and all forms of media and the general public, including the coordination of interviews and other public relations requests by the media.
