Checkpoint Theatre's revival of its 2015 hit play, Normal, is once again wowing audiences in Singapore.

The play, written under the literary genius of one of Checkpoint Theatre's artistic associates, Faith Ng, explores the unspoken nuances of Singapore's education system.

Helmed under the superb direction of the company's artistic director, Claire Wong, Normal elucidates the struggles of being a student and juggling the weight of society's harmful assumptions.

Normal follows the story of two students who are placed in a lower academic band and how the arrival of a new teacher aims to change their mindsets and hopefully realize their own potential. A reason behind the show's immense success? It hits home with almost every Singaporean, who has been through the country's education system and understands the trials and tribulations of being a student in one of the most respected yet challenging educational systems of the world.

After playing to a sold-out run in 2015, it now opens Checkpoint Theatre's 15th anniversary season. Normal runs from March 23rd to April 16th.
