Sunset Boulevard Photos - West End

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director; Michael Stotts- Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has released production photos for The Sound of Music. The show began performances at Paper Mill Playhouse on Friday, December 2 and will play through Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Just last night, Andrew Lloyd Webber introduced his new memoir, Unmasked, in an exclusive literary event at The Town Hall. This program, the only one of its kind in the U.S., featured Lloyd Webber in conversation with the award-winning actress Glenn Close, who served as a special guest host for the evening.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, presents the rarely-seen musical Bar Mitzvah Boy, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Tony and Oscar winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), and book by Jack Rosenthal (Yentl), as adapted by David Thompson (The Scottsboro Boys), the second of three shows in the Winter 2018 Musicals in Mufti Series celebrating the work of composer Jule Styne. Performances began February 10, 2018 for 11 performances only through Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Cohen, the eight-member cast will feature Julie Benko as Lesley Green, Neal Benari as Rabbi Sherman, Ned Eisenberg as Victor Green, Ben Fankhauser as Harold, Tim Jeromeas Grandad, Peyton Lusk as Eliot Green, Casey Watkins as Denise, and Lori Wilner as Rita Green.

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT present the fifth show of its 2016-2017 season, Davis Gaines starring in his Ovation award-winning role as Don Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA, with book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion, music by Mitch Leigh, musical direction by Jeff Rizzo, choreography by Patti Colombo and directed by Glenn Casale. Stars including Michael Xavier, Beverley Knight, Matt Cardle, Samantha Barks and Pixie Lott will perform as part of 2016's incredible line-up for London's free musical theatre extravaganza, West End LIVE with MasterCard.

Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, awarded three-time Tony Award winning Glenn Close with the inaugural Marvin Hamlisch Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre at the Season Benefit Gala Saturday, May 21 on the Sharon Playhouse stage. Company members from A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER performed a one-night only 'Angels' Cabaret' titled 'Miscast: Songs We Shouldn't Sing From Roles We'll Never Play' at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel on Monday, April 18. Presented by Center Theatre Group and the CTG Affiliates, proceeds from the performance will go to support CTG's education and community partnership programs.
