James Lapine (Co-Author/Director), William Finn (Author) Spencer Liff (Choreographer) and Jordan Roth (Producer) joined the company of the national tour of The Lincoln Center Theater production of FALSETTOS, produced by Jujamcyn Theaters and NETworks Presentations. on stage at the Official Press Opening in San Francisco's SHN Golden Gate Theatre Wednesday, March 20. To commemorate the event, the entire company celebrated at a post-show reception held at Chambers.
Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, presents the world premiere musical, The Royal Family of Broadway. Previews began June 7, and the show officially opens tonight, June 13. Performances run through July 7 on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage (30 Union Street).
Ghostlight Records has announced it will record the New York City Center production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical Brigadoon, for a new cast recording to be released this fall. Brigadoon has book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Starring Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Wilson and Stephanie J. Block, the show features The Encores! Performances began February 10, 2018 for 11 performances only through Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Colton Ryan, though not the tall macho leading man type, should find a place on the Great White Way in roles for the young, clean scrubbed type who have big voices.'
