Popular Broadway performer Jason Danieley will stage 'Ragtime: The Symphonic Concert with the Boston Pops May 12-13 at Boston's Symphony Hall, and July 8 at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA.

West Side Story opens on July 8th at Theatro Sao Pedro. A masterpiece by Bernstein & Sondheim, direction by Charles Moeller and Brazilian version by Claudio Botelho, the musical direction is by Claudio Cruz, who leads the Orquestra do Theatro Sao Pedro. The production also has a cast headed by Giulia Nadruz (Maria) and Beto Sargentelli (Tony)

Antaeus Theatre Company highlights the culture and history of six additional Los Angeles neighborhoods with Season Two of its popular 'The Zip Code Plays: Los Angeles' podcast series, set to launch May 20. In November, The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open the second production of its third season with the play Stop Kiss, by American Playwright Diana Son. An Outer Critics Circle Award and John Gassner Award nominee, this play set in 1998, examines the moving power of love against brutality.

Starring Eline Porto and Beto Sargentelli, who also take on production alongside Lucas Mello, the musical The Last 5 Years written by Jason Robert Brown, arrives in Sao Paulo, for a short season. Directed by Joao Fonseca, musical direction by Thiago Gimenes and versions to Portuguese by Rafael Oliveira, the production, which relates in a different and special way the last years of the relationship lived by Cathy and Jamie, is a success in several countries and now opens in Brazil.

Donald Trump's wall between Mexico and the United States may seem like it is ripped from today's headlines, but clear  back in 1998, playwrights Solano and Havis interviewed over 200 residents of San Diego, Tijuana, and Mexicali asking a simple question, "Would we be better off with or without a wall between the two countries?" The result is this prescient futuristic fantasy. It's 2028, an earthquake has wiped out L.A. and Orange County.

XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS star Lucy Lawless recently took to Instagram to post a pic of herself with co-star and friend Claire Stansfield. Lawless writes, 'My other gal pal from #Xena days, Alti aka #clairesfieldnotes I am so proud of her incredible careers! Four to date. Fascinating woman.#paintingtownred.'

In celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of Broadway's landmark musical event The Lion King, cast members Alton Fitzgerald White, Chondra La-Tease Profit and Lindiwe Dlamini 'flipped the switch' and lit the world-famous Empire State Building's tower lights with the signature color of the production. The lights will shine yellow in honor of the anniversary today, December 4, 2012. Check out photos of the cast at the Empire State Building below!

Tony Award-winning ensemble member Frank Galati returns to the helm at Steppenwolf Theatre Company with his stage adaptation of The March, Pulitzer Prize-finalist E.L. Doctorow's novel about General William Tecumseh Sherman's Civil War march through Georgia. This marks Galati's Second Stage production of a Doctorow novel, following the highly-acclaimed musical Ragtime (1998). The much-anticipated production features a cast of 26 playing a mix of fictional and historical characters. The March begins previews April 5 (Opening Night is April 15; Press Performances are April 14 at 3pm and April 17 at 7:30pm) and runs through June 10, 2012 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).
