MTC Kicks Off 50th Season with AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY

Marin Theatre Company opens its 50th Anniversary Season with Tracy Letts' August: Osage County. The play debuted at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, IL, moving directly to Broadway in 2007. Following its TONY® Award-winning NYC run, the production began its US National Tour in 2009. It has since enjoyed successful runs at theatres around the world, however MTC's production will be one of the first professional productions in the Bay Area since the Broadway tour in 2009. Boston Ballet School Receives Expansion And Relocation

Boston Ballet announces the expansion and relocation of the Boston Ballet School Newton Studio to 153 Needham Street in Newton. The new studio will be located within a new building complex called Newton Nexus. Photo Flash: Miami City Ballet Grooves at First Annual National Dance Day Celebration

On Saturday, July 30, Miami City Ballet welcomed dancers and dance lovers from all over the greater Miami area to Miami Beach to celebrate National Dance Day. Over 100 people gathered in Collins Park for a dance party where they learned the 2016 National Dance Day Routine and performed in a flash mob. DJ Hottpants got the party started and was joined on stage by MC and MCB School instructor Herman Payne, with MCB Dancers and J Marcos, dancer and creator of dance-fitness class Videosync, helping to demonstrate.
