Irish Repertory Theatre will continue its current season with a revival of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, The 1946 Live Radio Play, adapted by Anthony E. Palermo from the screenplay by Francis Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra and Jo Swerling. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, The 1946 Live Radio Play premiered last year at the Irish Repertory Theatre with a production directed by Charlotte Moore (JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK, DANCING AT LUGHNASA). Once again directed by Ms. Moore, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, The 1946 Live Radio Play will begin previews on Wednesday, December 4th and will play through Sunday, December 29th in The Irish Repertory Theatre's W. Hunter (The Whale at PH, The Few, A Bright New Boise). Playwrights Horizons' production of POCATELLO, the world premiere of a new play by Obie, Drama Desk and Lortel awards winner and 2014 MacArthur Foundation 'Genius' grantee Samuel D. Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre announces that its current production, the revival of Gardner McKay's SEA MARKS, directed by Ciaran O'Reilly, will extend through Sunday, July 13, 2014 (the production was originally scheduled to be performed through June 15th). The romantic two-hander stars Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee Xanthe Elbrick (CORAM BOY, Irish Rep's CANDIDA) and Patrick Fitzgerald (Irish Rep's GIBRALTAR). Rack have announced the cast for the World Premiere Wicked Lit installation of Algernon Blackwood's THE DOLL, adapted by Rack and directed by Millet (July 11-26, 2014; Fridays-Sundays, 7:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.): Asia Aragon (Unbound Productions debut), Jennifer Novak Chun (The Lurking Fear, The Masque of the Red Death Experience, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - Wicked Lit2013), Amelia Meyers (Unbound Productions debut), Tanya Mironowski (The Unnamable, Wicked Lit 2010, 2011), and Andrew Thatcher (Wake Not the Dead, Wicked Lit 2012). The play will be performed as a full production in and around Strub Mansion (a 100-year-old Italianate Beaux Arts home) on the campus of the historic Mayfield Senior School of the Holy Child Jesus in Pasadena. Artistic Director of London Classic Theatre Michael Cabot today announces the full cast for the company's production of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends as part of their 15th Anniversary season. Cabot directs Ashley Cook (Colin), John Dorney (John), Kevin Drury (Paul), Catherine Harvey (Diana), Kathryn Ritchie (Evelyn) and Alice Selwyn (Marge). The tour opens at Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne with a press night on 29 April and will tour to a total of 16 venues. There will be a second press night at Richmond Theatre on 15 June. Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre presents its final production of its 2013-2014 Season, a revival of Gardner McKay's SEA MARKS, directed by Ciaran O'Reilly. The romantic two-hander will star Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee Xanthe Elbrick (CORAM BOY, Irish Rep's CANDIDA) and Patrick Fitzgerald (Irish Rep's GIBRALTAR). SEA MARKS will be performed now through June 15th on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage of the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). The Press Opening is Monday, May 5, 2014 at 7PM.
