Brian always wrote with great depth, whether through his unmatched sense of language, surprising humor, righteous anger, or incredible heart. His commitment to bringing stories of his Irish homeland, often through the town of Ballybeg that he created and populated with so many memorable tales and characters, was admirable. (more...)

This summer, Shadow Lawn Stage, the professional theatre in residence at Monmouth University, will present Ted Swindley's ode to her: Always, Patsy Cline. Company of Fools Artist John Glenn Receives Excellence in the Arts Governor's Award

Company of Fools and Sun Valley Center for the Arts are pleased to announce that Core Company Artist John Glenn is among the 2016 recipients of the Governor's Awards in the Arts. Governor C. L. Butch Otter and First Lady Lori Otter announced this year's honorees in August.  Glenn received the Excellence in the Arts distinction.  This is the third award from Idaho's Governors in Company of Fools' 21 year history - Denise Simone, Core Company Artist, received the 2014 Excellence in the Arts and in 2004 Company of Fools was awarded the same distinction. The Irish Repertory Theatre will honor the life and legacy of the great Irish playwright Brian Friel (January 9, 1929 - October 2, 2015) with a memorial celebration to be held on Monday, December 7th, 2015 at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J.
