The San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) has announced that in 2015 the Festival will be moving back to the Fort Mason Center. The Festival will be co-presented by Fort Mason as part of its FMC Presents Series. The relationship gives SFIAF access to six different venues on the Fort Mason campus and the ability to present over 150 ticketed performances by artists from the Bay Area and ten countries in the space of three action packed weeks. The Festival will also feature a major arts exhibition titled Bearing Witness: Surveillance in the Drone Age compiled by curators Matt McKinley and Hanna Regev as well as multiple educational, residency and outreach activities. The Erie Art Museum is organizing the next Gallery Night, scheduled for Friday, May 23 from 7 until 10 p.m., A city-wide art gallery crawl through local, independent galleries and the Museum, participating Gallery Night venues will open their doors after-hours for visitors to get up close and personal with art and artists in a unique way. Each gallery offers a different experience, from artist meet & greets to wine samplings to live music, and visual art, featuring local, regional, and national artists. Visit five or more locations for a chance to win a gift certificate from each participating location. Admission is free to the public. Visitors are invited to end night at the Erie Art Museum for a brand new art experience, ARTafterDARK, an art party on the Museum's patio from 9-11 p.m. Denver-based, and Erie Native, Philip Berarducci, known as DJ Phil Tha Bass, along with DJ Rhythm Provide, will provide a steady stream of entertainment on the patio. Guests will also enjoy a taco bar provided by El Toro Loco, along with craft beer and cocktails, and have the opportunity to create their own art using old vinyl records.
