Get a first look at Paramount Theatre’s production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.  Before she was the Carole King we know today, she was a young songwriter from Brooklyn trying to make a name for herself. Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of her remarkable rise to stardom with her husband and songwriting partner, Gerry Goffin, and how she went on to become one of the most successful singers, songwriters and musicians in contemporary music history. 

The Lied Center's 2024-2025 season will feature more than 35 events including top artists and ensembles from around the world in dance, classical music, jazz, musical theater, comedy, family, illusion, and more.  

Not so far away is Paramount Theatre’s 2023-24 season finale, the Broadway smash hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Nominated for seven Tony Awards, with two wins, plus a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, Paramount will pull out all the stops in this season-finale jukebox musical celebration of one our most beloved music icons ever. Closing out its season of plays, Portland Center Stage will welcome Lynn Nottage’s hit Clyde’s. Learn more about the production here!

Sir J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and 1904 play, tells the story of reference to Native Americans who inhabit a fictitious island known as Neverland. Referred to as “Piccaninny Warriors,” include Tiger Lily and her tribe as they steal pockets from the Lost Boys and try to claim the island as their own, reclaiming it from those who began to take it away from them.

Overture Center has revealed its 20th Anniversary 2024/25 season. Broadway at Overture welcomes back audience-favorite “Wicked,” also celebrating its 20th anniversary year, and includes the Wisconsin premieres of “& Juliet,” “Shucked” and “The Neil Diamond Musical: A Beautiful Noise.”

In times of turmoil, oppression, and uncertainty, how do people cope? How do they find joy, hope, and freedom when all seems hopeless? In the early 1930’s many of the citizens of Berlin found ways to escape the realities of life and the rise of the Nazi party by visiting one of the many cabarets in the city where they could leave their troubles at the door and partake in the debauchery of the latest avant garde entertainment. Today, however, in 2024, a visit to the Kit Kat Klub of CABARET, the latest offering from Titusville Playhouse, provides such an escape but with an important cautionary tale about the dangers of extremism and the real consequences of not taking them seriously.

It is a novel and a hit film, but now New Village Arts brings all the mystery, murder, and imagination of “The 39 Steps” to life in this comedic Hitchcock homage through May 12th. 

Shannon & The Clams have released their latest single “Big Wheel” and its accompanying music video. The song will be featured on their upcoming album The Moon Is In The Wrong Place, which is out May 10. Kicking off with resounding Moog synthesizer instrumentals and vocals from guitarist Cody Blanchard, “Big Wheel” chronicles the unavoidable passage of time and life’s impermanence. FROM HERE TO ETERNITY follows the lives of the soldiers of G Company based in Hawaii in the days leading up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. The story was inspired by author Jones’ own experiences during the war—but how does that story translate to the stage?
