Unable to see American Idiot in New York City, I am so happy that the Third National Tour finally brought the show to Houston, TX. This lively, youthful cast owns every moment of this explosive and exhilarating American Idiot, and I can't imagine any other cast performing this rollicking, raucous piece as well as they do. Aronoff Center for the Arts Announces $25 Lottery Seats for AMERICAN IDIOT, 4/11-12

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for American Idiot, which is playing its Cincinnati debut at the Aronoff Center with performances April 11-12, 2014. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Aronoff Center box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets. American Idiot will play the Aronoff Center April 11-12, 2014: Friday at 8:00PM and Saturday at 5:00pm and 9:00pm. (more...)

Vineyard Theatre will produce the world-premiere of the musical BROOKLYNITE directed by the Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer as well as a new play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (APPROPRIATE) as part of the non-profit theatre company's 2014-15 season, it was confirmed this afternoon by Douglas Aibel, The Vineyard's Artistic Director, and Sarah Stern, Co-Artistic Director.
