There are people who eat and there are those who get eaten. This fall, Arena Stage serves up Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, a delicious drama about family greed and betrayal. Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger, known for her 12 seasons as Catherine Willows on CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, stars as Regina Giddens under veteran director Kyle Donnelly, who has directed more than 20 productions at Arena Stage. The Corona Award honors an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the growth of the Chicago theater community as well as small- to medium-sized ensembles such as Eclipse Theatre. The Public Theater recently announced that Louis Cancelmi, last seen as Caliban in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest, had stepped into the company of Troilus and Cressida as Achilles, replacing David Harbour, who suffered an injury during previews and will be unable to complete the run. Shakespeare's Globe has announced full casting for Matthew Dunster's production of IMOGEN. Award-winning actor Maddy Hill, in the lead role of Imogen, is best known for the recurring role of Nancy Carter in EastEnders (BBC), for which she won Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards in 2015, and Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards 2014, as well as being nominated for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards 2014. Maddy will be joined by Jonathan McGuinness as Cymbeline, Ira Mandela Siobhan as Posthumus and Matthew Needham as Iachimo. Running from 17 September, Imogen is Shakespeare's Cymbeline renamed and reclaimed. (more...)
