???????The acclaimed WICKED YOUNG WRITER AWARDS, created and sponsored by the award-winning musical WICKED in association with the National Literacy Trust, are delighted to announce that Strictly Come Dancing star, author, award-winning journalist and former Labour MP Ed Balls has joined the judging panel, alongside ITV News Arts Editor Nina Nannar and the acclaimed performance poet and writer Laura Dockrill.

WICKED, the classic West End musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, welcomed its 8 millionth theatregoer to London's Apollo Victoria Theatre on Thursday 9 February 2017. Louise and David McCarter attended the performance and enjoyed a back stage visit with the cast after the performance.

On July 5th I had the esteemed pleasure to go backstage with the production staff of WICKED national tour to talk with members of the production staff and watch how they transform the Hobby Center to the magical land of OZ. The WICKED YOUNG WRITER AWARDS, created and supported by the award-winning musical Wicked, has extended the deadline for entries for an additional two weeks, giving young writers until 25th March 2016 to enter the awards.
