Anyone who's had the pleasure of experiencing a Groundlings show will not only have tired hands from all the clapping and strained lungs from all the whooping and laughing, but also have worn-out toes from tapping along with the smoking hot Groundlings house band. Musical director Matthew Loren Cohen took a break from his many musical commitments and rehearsals to share some behind-the-scene Groundlings magic with BroadwayWorld.

Wallece is her partner in life as well as onstage. Her once-in-a-lifetime performance can be seen through October 22nd.

The last time Jane Kaczmarek acted on the Los Angeles stage, she transformed into the morphine-addicted Mary Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT at the Geffen Playhouse. Jane returns to the L.A. boards, this time in the traditionally-male role of Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN, just opened at The Pasadena Playhouse, in a co-production with Deaf West Theatre.

In response to demand, The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert Bradshaw, has extended the U.S. premiere of Oh My Sweet Land, written and directed by Amir Nizar Zuabi, through October 22, 2017.

Today's subject Tracy Lynn Olivera is currently living her theatre life onstage at Signature Theatre as the stalwart countess Charlotte in Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony Award-winning musical, A Little Night Music. The production runs through October 8th in Signature's Max Theatre.

Developing Artists, in partnership with Vineyard Theatre, welcomes a lineup of stars to their 13th annual REBEL VERSES Youth Arts Festival, with performances today, July 27, Friday, July 28, Saturday, July 29, Thursday, August 3, Friday, August 4, and Saturday, August 5 at Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15th St.).

California Musical Theatre announced the 2017-18 Broadway Sacramento season at the Community Center Theater, featuring four shows not previously presented in the series and two that are favorites of Broadway Sacramento audiences. The season features Sacramento premieres of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, Something Rotten!, Finding Neverland, and An American in Paris. Returning shows are The Book of Mormon and Jersey Boys.

George Street Playhouse has announced full casting for Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas). The sassy musical comedy will not only close out GSP's 2016-17 season, but also mark the final show performed in the Playhouse's current building. Curvy Widow runs May 2-21, 2017, with opening night scheduled for May 5th, 2017.
