Bristol Riverside Theatre presents the landmark Broadway musical Cabaret, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff. Lauren Molina, of The Skivvies, will lead the cast as Sally Bowles.

Efter en audition i Stockholm i början av december står det klart att rollen går till soulsångerskan Laila Adéle. 11th Hour Theatre Company Presents CHESS THE MUSICAL. As the process continues the script and score are improved to attempt to ensure that they are well-integrated.

 11th Hour Theatre Company has announced an exciting 15th Anniversary season. The only company in the city dedicated to producing all musicals has created a line-up of two Next Step Concerts of rarely produced musicals and a Mainstage musical years in the making. Award-winning choreographers and dancers Camille A. Brown and Juel Lane are the recipients of the second annual Alumni Artpreneur of the Year Awards from their alma mater, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), Chancellor Lindsay Bierman has announced. Graduates of the premier UNCSA School of Dance, Brown ('01) and Lane ('02) will each receive $20,000. Brown's award, for creative enterprise, will sustain her New York-based company, Camille A. Brown and Dancers. Lane's award, for a creative project, will be used to create new choreographic work.

Musically Jesus Christ Superstar at Sarpsborg scene is a joy to witness. It works in all aspects with the performers, choir and musicians. Directorially it is more of a hit and miss, with both captivating sequences while others got a little lost in the huge crowd on stage.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns to the theater's stage from November 28 - December 30, 2018 for a milestone season. During the Company's Ailey Ascending 60th Anniversary celebration, Artistic Director Robert Battle leads Ailey's 32 extraordinary dancers during this five-week holiday engagement that will elevate a legacy of excellence in artistry with premieres by some of today's most revered and prolific choreographers, including world premieres by Rennie Harris and Ronald K. Brown; a company premiere by Wayne McGregor; a new production of by Robert Battle; the return of a recent premiere by Jessica Lang, and special performances of rarely seen works by Alvin Ailey himself.

The 60-member cast includes Broadway veterans working alongside some of the nation's most promising new talent, all showcased in an brand-new staging, featuring imaginative sets and costumes inspired by the classic Disney film. In 2011, Music Theatre Wichita was one of the first three theatres in the country to receive permission from the Disney Company to produce this title following its Broadway run, and the new edition marks the local premiere of the newly revised script and score. "The Little Mermaid" runs for ten performances, August 8-18 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, Kansas.

The Theatre Group at SBCC will start the season July 11-28, 2018 in the Garvin Theatre with the musical, GREASE.  Book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

Casting is announced today for Music Theatre Wichita's 47th Season, which includes including Sister Act, Guys and Dolls, Disney's Freaky Friday, Pippin, and Disney's The Little Mermaid.

On 4 May 1972, when the Australian production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR opened at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, it was the most anticipated and lavish theatre event in Australian musical theatre history.

Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that tells the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ. It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.

Alice Cooper, a seminal figure in rock 'n' roll whose compelling stage presence has made him a must see for five decades, has been cast as the flamboyant King Herod in NBC's staged rock concert of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR LIVE! to be aired Easter Sunday, April 1.
