National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) has announced the full cast for the 28th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28, 2016 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

The Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce that On the Rocks restaurant was the winner of the "Best of Show" for the theatre's first annual Taste of the Hill Country fundraiser.  The event was held at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls on Tuesday, September 20 and featured twenty-one area restaurants, caterers and food vendors.

Liliane Montevecchi  presented her autobiographical one-woman show Be My Valentine at Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

Australian actors Kerrie Anne Greenland (Eponine), Chris Durling (Enjolras), and Emily Langridge (Cosette) will join previously announced cast members Simon Gleeson (Jean Valjean), Earl Carpenter (Javert), and Rachelle Ann Go (Fantine) when the new Asian Tour of the newly reimagined LES MISERABLES (LES MIS) kicks off at The Theatre at Solaire (1 Aseana Ave. Entertainment City, Paranaque City) in March 2016. Cabaret star Steve Ross will debut STEVE ROSS ON BROADWAY: Songs He's Always Wanted To Sing and Songs You've Always Wanted to Hear at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, July 7th at 7pm. Mr. Ross' very special guest star will be International icon Liliane Montevecchi, featuring Jesse Bielenberg on bass. The wide-ranging program includes songs by George and Ira Gershwin, Howard Dietz and Arthur Schwartz, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and others.

Tony nominee Howard McGillin, just coming off of GIGI on Broadway, will join Tony winner Betty Buckley and Drama Desk winner Rachel York in Bay Street Theater's summer production of GREY GARDENS, running August 4-30. Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce its 2015-16 season. Featuring five productions, the season includes the comedy Cookin' with Gus, a holiday production of Dashing Through The Snow, the suspense thriller Dial "M" For Murder, the comedy A Little Off the Top, and the classic musical Annie Get Your Gun. This marks HCCT's 30th anniversary as a destination for exhilarating performances and entertaining theatrical experiences.

Previn, who has been called one of America's least easily categorized musicians, began his remarkable career as a Hollywood "wunderkind" and a best-selling jazz pianist. Now 86, Previn has received four Academy Awards for his work in film, 10 Grammy Awards for his recordings (plus one more for his Lifetime Achievement), and he is also an honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. He's held a series of major conducting posts, including the L.A. Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra, but now exclusively composes. The concert is led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, whose great admiration for the legend shaped this year's ACF to reveal the scope of Previn's prowess as a composer.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces nine awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its seventh year, the Fund will provide grants totaling $46,000 to ten organizations across the country.

The Hill Country Community Theatre will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a Broadway Revue, on Sunday, June 7 at 3:00 PM. The show will be performed by the Hill Country Community Theatre Players and will feature songs from Broadway hits that have been produced at HCCT over the past 30 years.
