Westport Community Theatre is currently producing Athol Fugard's powerful play, The Road to Mecca. Performances take place from February 8th through 24th todays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays, with a Thursday performance on February 14th at 8:00 p.m. Ruth Anne Baumgartner directs the play, which is produced by Joan Lasprogato.

Her two adult sons are home alone and the combination is a toxic brew in this Sam Shepard classic.

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network, announced its 2019 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala to take place on Thursday, March 14th, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The event will be hosted by Cara Buono, co‐star of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, and Emmy‐ nominee for her role on Mad Men. The awards honor the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals and corporations who have made an impact on people with disabilities and have inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. The gala benefits the important ongoing programs and services of ADAPT Community Network. This year's honorees will be announced next month.

The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) today honored several outstanding female journalists at the 2018 Courage in Journalism Awards luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year's honorees included news agency JINHA founder, Zehra Do?an, U.S. freelance photojournalist, Meridith Kohut, undercover CNN International correspondent, Nima Elbagir, and organized crime reporter and ZETA editor-in-chief, Rosario Mosso Castro. "60 Minutes'" Lesley Stahl also received the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, MSNBC President, Phil Griffin was recognized with the IWMF Leadership Award along with Bloomberg News' Senior Editor, Karen Toulon who was honored with the Gwen Ifill Award.

Actor Patrick Cassidy, best known for his roles in musical theatre and television, headlines Some Enchanted Evening ~ A Night of Broadway Song & Dance to benefit Inland Pacific Ballet, the professional ballet company based in the Inland Empire. With a career spanning three decades, actor, performer and host, Todd McKenney will be 'in conversation' at the Ensemble Theatre in September with four very special guests, Nancye Hayes, his mum Peta McKenney, David Campbell and Carlotta for an hour featuring songs, stories and conversation. Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 210th season with the lush romantic comedy Irving Berlin's HOLIDAY INN, featuring a score by "America's Songwriter."  Based on the classic film by the same name, the production will be directed by Charles Abbott and choreographed by Michelle Gaudette. Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn begins previews on September 4th, opens on September 12th, and runs through October 21st on the Walnut's Mainstage.

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English; Producing Director Susi Damilano) announced casting for the final show of its 2017-18 Mainstage Season--Sunday in the Park with George, the quintessential Stephen Sondheim musical about the art of creation and the creation of art. Bill English will direct the 1985 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's great American classic Oklahoma! bursts onto the Ogunquit Playhouse stage June 13 to July 7. The Playhouse is thrilled to create an exciting new production of this beloved classic as part of its 75th Anniversary since first opening on Broadway. This groundbreaking musical was Rodgers and Hammerstein's first collaboration, and in many ways their most innovative, having set standards for musical theatre that are still being followed today. The lively musical features the timeless classics, 'Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin',' 'The Surrey with the Fringe On Top,' 'I Cain't Say No,' 'People Will Say We're in Love' and of course the triumphant 'Oklahoma!'

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts.
