DCT Academy Expands Programming, Youth Cast Performs Disney's ALICE IN WONDERLAND

When children take classes at Dallas Children's Theater (DCT), the results are nothing less than astonishing. Audiences can see the magic that students enrolled in the DCT Academy create after just two weeks of work when over 30 students come together in the all-youth cast production of Disney's ALICE IN WONDERLAND. For three performances only, public audiences will travel down the rabbit hole to join Alice and DCT Academy students on madcap adventures in a musical that features updated songs from Disney's thrilling animated motion picture. ALICE IN WONDERLAND opens at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts on Friday, July 27, 2018.

Creative Cauldron Announces 2018-2019 Season

The 2018-19 Season marks Creative Cauldron's tenth year producing and presenting live theater and music. This season includes a diverse range of programming for adults and families alike. Highlighting the season will be a world premiere musical, On Air, written by internationally produced duo Stephen Gregory Smith and Matt Conner. On Air is the final installment of Creative Cauldron's five-year "Bold New Works for Intimate Stages" initiative.

The 2018 Helpmann Awards Act II tonight was a star-studded ceremony in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre Sydney on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. Hosts for this stellar evening were music writer Glenn A Baker AM, acclaimed choreographer Rafael Bonachela, celebrated musical theatre star and TV host David Campbell, multiple Helpmann Award winning mezzo soprano Jacqueline Dark, comedian Anne Edmonds and Olivier and Tony Award Nominee Tony Sheldon.

Sandi Toksvig Adapts Treasure Island For Haymarket Theatre

OOTB Presents New Adaptation of ALICE IN WONDERLAND at Alice's Tea Cup

Producing Artistic Director Elizabeth Flemming, Associate Artistic Director Ethan Paulini and Managing Director Frank Hartley will present a new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland in Alice's Tea Cup called Alice in Alice's. This brand new adaptation features Book, Music and Lyrics by Joe Barros and Rick Edinger. Performances begin August 11 and run through September 12 at Alice's Tea Cup - Chapter II, 165 E. 64th St in Manhattan. Showtimes are 9am on Saturdays and Sundays and 3pm on Wednesdays. Tickets are $18 for general admission and include a tea and scone.

Romance of the Rose Productions announces the first casting for the new West End musical Knights of the Rose. Directed by Racky Plews and created by Jennifer Marsden, Knights of the Rose opens on 29th June for 9 weeks only at The Arts Theatre. Leading the noble Knights is Adam Pearce (King Aethelstan) who is joined by Chris Cowley (Palamon), Oliver Saville (Hugo), Rebecca Bainbridge (Queen Matilda / Bess), Rebekah Lowings (Isabel), Matt Thorpe (Horatio), Ruben Van keer (John), Katie Birtill (Hannah) and Bleu Woodward (Emily). The production, based on the book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, is adapted for the stage by David Greig (Artistic Director of the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company; recent work: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cover My Tracks) with music and lyrics written by Charlie Fink (Frontman/songwriter for the hit musical group, Noah and the Whale (2007-2015).
