Chesapeake Shakespeare Company Presents ALICE IN WONDERLAND Animals speak in riddles and nonsense makes sense in the storybook-inspired "Alice in Wonderland," by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus, adapted from Lewis Carroll, on stage at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, April 27 - May 27 at 7 South Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202, near the Inner Harbor. Ticket details are at ChesapeakeShakespeare.com and the Box Office at 410-244-8570.

The adventures of young Alice reveal her pluck, intelligence, and imagination during her journey in a day-glo Wonderland. More than 50 familiar characters from Carroll's stories, including Mock Turtle, Mad Hatter, March Hare, and Cheshire Cat - are represented by actors, puppets, and projections in a spectacular of design and stage magic. The talents of award-winning designers Kristina Lambdin (costumes) and Jess Rassp (puppets) will be on full display.

Many of the poems in the script have been set to original music. Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?

"Alice in Wonderland" is directed by Ian Gallanar, who is Chesapeake Shakespeare Company's Founder and Artistic Director. Known best for its innovative and classic productions of Shakespeare's plays and its education programs for Maryland youth, the company also produces family-friendly classics.
