This spring, the High Museum of Art will be the first-ever U.S. venue for Live Lab, a photography residency and related exhibition organized in collaboration with the international photographic cooperative Magnum Photos. Live Lab is designed to involve the community in the realization of a new body of photographs, which will be created over a two-week period in a a?oelaba?? at the Museum. The Atlanta project will feature American photographer Carolyn Drake and South African artists Lindokuhle Sobekwa and Mikhael Subotzky, whose projects all will explore themes relevant to the city.

 On September 20, New York native, Bill Scorzari, independently releases his third full-length album of all original music titled, Now I'm Free. His sound is gritty, raw and at times, downright sad. His songs transition through a multitude of emotions, with themes centered on the experiences of the human condition. Of his music, some say it's spoken word, and others, an amalgam of the voice of Tom Waits, the delivery of Sam Baker, and the soul of Kris Kristofferson. In his lyrics, there is a poetic grace, a calming and resigned wisdom of acceptance that shines through the wistful melancholy of hope, and breaks free. No Depression wrote, a?oeBill Scorzari is a force. Hailed as a dream team of performers, longtime musical collaborators and friends, violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Jeremy Denk, will unite this spring 2019 for their first-ever trio tour stoping at The Soraya on May 8. The three artists will perform hallmarks of the trio repertoire in acclaimed venues across the East and West coasts. The Old Globe announces its inaugural New Voices in the Community series: free public performances at libraries across San Diego County, followed by conversations with the playwrights and experts in the community. Kill Devil Hill guitarist Mark Zavon is set to release his debut self-titled solo effort November 23th via EMP Label Group, a collection of catchy riffs and giant hooks, forging an album of timeless, uptempo Hard Rock songs. The 10-song offering features Zavon not only on guitars, but also bass, keys, and even handling all the vocals.

Sony Classical releases OPERATION FINALE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with original music byAcademy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel). The soundtrack will be available for streaming, download and on CD August 24, 2018. Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) will distribute Operation Finale theatrically on August 29, 2018.

In the South and beyond, the screen door, like the porch, is a social mediator. It exposes the home to the neighborhood, while still maintaining a veil of privacy. In summer's heavy heat, it is of the utmost importance. The four painters in this exhibition have set up a screen, a scrim, a partition in their paintings that allows them to operate within the exterior, coaxing out the mercurial habits of painting behind a seemingly sound surface.

For its 35th season Undermain celebrates its past, its future, and its present with two world premieres, a rarely seen world classic, and a celebratory reboot of a recent gem from the Undermain repertoire. The two world premieres bridge new American work from an eminent playwright to an important, emerging playwright, the classic presents a Dallas premiere by 'the father of realism,' the Undermain in rep series contemplates the Undermain's recent achievements, and our second Whither Goest Thou America: A Festival of New American Play Readings looks to the future.

Undermain Theatre presents Whither Goest Thou America: A Festival of New Play Readings. Four weeks of staged readings of new American plays examining the current American Landscape. Each week of the series will focus on a different playwright and play with readings of the play by an ensemble cast and the playwright in attendance for discussion of the work every Saturday night. Audiences will have the opportunity to return each week of the series to experience a new work and author examining the American experience and asking the question, "How did we get here and where are we going?"
