Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein today announced the appointment of Travis LeMont Ballenger as Associate Artistic Director. The Globe will have two people in this key position, as Ballenger joins Associate Artistic Director Justin Waldman, who has been at the Globe since 2011. Ballenger and Waldman will report jointly to Edelstein. Ballenger will assume his artistic duties at The Old Globe on May 1.

Following three sold-out New York engagements, the Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre of Russia returns with a new verse drama Masquerade, directed by Rimas Tuminas (Eugene Onegin). Presented by The Cherry Orchard Festival Foundation (www.CherryOrchardFestival.org), Masquerade will play 4 performances at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street): June 13 at 7:30pm, June 14 at 7:30pm, June 15 at 7:30pm and June 16 at 2pm. Shakespeare's Globe announced the full cast for William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Elle While, and Ben Jonson's Bartholomew Fair, directed by Blanche McIntyre.

The installation was designed by Tony Award winner David Rockwell and the ceremony will take place prior to the evening's performance of Conor McPherson's new version of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death, helmed by Tony Award winner Victoria Clark (part of CSC's Strindberg repertory engagement with director Shariffa Ali's production of Yael Farber's Mies Julie, running through March 10 at 136 East 13th Street). Lynn F. Angelson, John Doyle, and special guest John Turturro (The Cherry Orchard, CSC 2011) will be on hand for the celebration.

Wayward Productions, led by Judith Dimant, today announce that their inaugural production of Enda Walsh's adaptation of Max Porter's award-winning novel Grief is the Thing with Feathers. Walsh also directs, reuniting him with Cillian Murphy, following the huge success of their past collaborations: Disco Pigs, Ballyturk and Misterman.

Happy 100th birthday, American Airlines Theatre! Roundabout's flagship home on Broadway, the American Airlines Theatre first opened its doors as the Selwyn Theatre in 1918. In 2000, Roundabout restored the theatre to its original neo-renaissance style as part of the 42nd Street Development Project, thanks to generous support from the City of New York. Through an unprecedented partnership between Roundabout and American Airlines, this historic theatre remains one of Broadway's most exquisite and patron-friendly houses.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to begin their season with a modern reimagining of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. Chekhov's classic play about artistic rebellion, translated by Paul Schmidt, will star the MFA Class of 2020 and guests. Director Sarah Wansley's staging will shed light on the show's poetic realism. Press opening will be on October 9th at the Helen Theatre in Playhouse Square and the show will run from October 10th-October 20th. 

Dawn King's Foxfinder will have its West End premiere at the Ambassadors Theatre from 6 September 2018 for a strictly limited season until 5 January 2019. Olivier Award-winner Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones' Ramsay Bolton, Misfits) will star in the unsettling and darkly comic drama directed by Rachel O'Riordan whose production of Killology at the Royal Court won the 2018 Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre. Further casting will be announced at a later date.

Olivier nominee Bryony Hannah (Call the Midwife) and Paul Nicholls (Law & Order, The C-Word, EastEnders) will join the previously announced Heida Reed (Poldark) and Olivier winner Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones' Ramsay Bolton, Misfits) in Dawn King's unsettling and darkly comic drama.

The Acting Company announces the full cast of its one-night-only benefit reading of The Night of the Iguana, Tennessee Williams' feverishly poetic 1961 drama,at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues), on Monday, June 11.

Lewis & Clark College in partnership with PETE, are pleased to present a four-day celebration and exploration of the many aspects of Anton Chekhov's work,  and the art of contemporary dramatic translation. A culmination of two years of research and performance, the symposium will feature readings of Št?pan Šimek's new translations of The Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya, The Seagull and The Cherry Orchard. Each piece was workshopped with PETE to collaboratively  translate not just the words, but the ACTION of the plays. Expect the distinct, energetic theatricality of PETE artists and a good show of some of Portland's most accomplished local talent.

Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street Productions will transfer Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman, directed by Sam Mendes, to Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street, New York) in October 2018.

The Garden Theatre is pleased to announce its signature gala, Encore: A 10 Year Anniversary Celebration with Broadway Legend Joel Grey presented by Orlando Health. The annual event which supports the theatre's onstage artistry and its education programs will be held on March 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The evening's entertainment also includes performances by Central Florida's leading talent honoring the Garden's past and future.

Sherman Theatre Artistic Director Rachel O'Riordan is to direct a radical reimagining of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard by the celebrated playwright Gary Owen. Roundabout Theatre Company presents the new Broadway production of J. B. Priestley's Time and the Conways, directed by Tony winner Rebecca Taichman (Indecent). The play returns to Broadway for the first time since its premiere in 1938 and opens officially tonight, October 10, 2017. This is a limited engagement through November 26, 2017 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).
