Seriously, "Guys And Dolls" at the Marriott Theatre is great. It's just great. Great, great, great. No, it's not perfect. And it's definitely old school--there's definite dialogue sections, song sections, dance sections, just like the shows from the Golden Age were supposed to have. But what songs! And what dances!
Open Circle Theater continues their track record of bringing slightly off theater to the Seattle area with the world premiere of "The Cut" by local playwright Dustin Engstrom. Even though the show's subject matter, a very specific sexual fetish, might make some people shy away, the show takes this out there subject and infuses it and its characters with human frailty and tons of heart.
The new interactive musical comedy, 'The Ultimate Drag Off' officially opened Off-Broadway at COMIX 353 West 14th St NYC January 15th, 2011.

Bravo reminisces about some of the best moments in reality television with an animated special, 'Shep and Tiffany Watch TV: The Best of 2010,' airing Thursday, December 23 at 11pm et/pt. Based on the animated web shorts from Shepard Boucher that have garnered worldwide notoriety with millions of online hits, the main characters Shep and Tiffany, young reality TV junkies, serve as masters of ceremonies as they attempt to clean out their DVR of the year's best moments and make way for what's to come in 2011. From 'Hoarders' to 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' no reality show is spared as the special parodies the best in reality TV.

An intelligently imaginative turn, Jeffrey Solomon's one-man play Santa Claus Is Coming Out @ the Diversionary in San Diego may cause controversy among conservatives but is certainly a milestone in the acceptance of gay rights. Gay bashing is not a new issue in schools; in fact, Solomon first presented this piece in Chicago in 2001 as a protest to the manner in which the educational system has been dealing with young gay students. They deserve to be treated as human beings and accepted for who they are. And who knows for sure whether great icons like Santa, a pegan outcast in Christian philosophy, wasn't homosexual as well?
