Lincoln Center Announces OUT OF DOORS 2014 Summer Festival Lineup; Runs 7/20-8/10

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Basically, love is superior to all and the universe is the entropy necessary for the expression of love. Love itself requires there to be more and Samuel A. Nigro's The Soul of the Earth is a thesis, a complete evaluation, and a poetic explanation of what love requires in order not only to survive but to be fulfilled. Should mankind fail to give provision to something more for this entirely necessary human emotion, then mankind would fall off into solipsism and anarchy.
