The Stratford Festival lost one of its pioneers today. Douglas Rain died of natural causes early this morning at the age of 90 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, just outside of Stratford, Ontario, the city in which he established his career, becoming one of the world's great classical actors.

In 2016, after years in the wilderness, Mark returned with his extraordinary show Living with the Lights On ,which told the story of those years. Now, following three tours, taking in theatres from Bristol to Barcelona, including 2 sell-out runs at the Young Vic, Mark has created a new play. This time, it's not about his past life - it's about living with the present. And the future, hopefully…

The Group Rep Presents Ira Levin's Comic Thriller DEATHTRAP directed by Jules Aaron, produced by Larry Eisenberg. One of the great popular successes of Broadway history and Tony nominated for Best Play in 1978, Deathtrap deals with the devious machinations of a writer of thrillers who is prepared to go to any lengths to improve his fortunes. Deathtrap runs April 6 through May 20 at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood.

Shakespeare & Company's Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare is now on the road. This year, the Company's Tour brings two Shakespeare productions, Othello, the Moor of Venice and A Midsummer Night's Dream, to over 20,000 students. The Tour visits 75 schools throughout the Northeast in nine different states including; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland.

Commissioned by Japan Society and Odawara Art Foundation for the Society's 110th Anniversary, this noh play, which is newly written but adheres to noh's medieval language, is performed in traditional style with noh masks, costumes, musical instruments and chanters.
