The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) announces the 2010 Season, running from July 12 - August 1, 2010. 24 plays and five musicals have been chosen. All tickets are $18. Selected plays for SHORT SUBJECTS, a division for plays that run under 60 minutes, will be announced at a later date.

Macha Monkey presents a lightning-fast interpretation of the Elektra myth in which two actresses, Kate Jaeger and Erin Stewart, portray a myriad of characters. Each moment of this original production addresses the question 'What if Orestes never showed up?' Set to a backdrop of gin bottles, violent chariot accidents, gossiping neighbors, and an ending even Sophocles could dance to, this dark comedy returns to Seattle with a vengeance. The remount comes with a special curtain raiser performance: Scot Augustson's puppet retelling of the play Agamemnon!

Pace's Actor's Studio Drama School celebrates its 13th Repertory Season, including an All-star MFA Candidate line-up consisting of 20 actors, 4 directors and 3 playwrights. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award
