The Old Globe is expanding San Diego's celebration of the holidays with a world premiere American musical about family, faith, and the magic of Christmas. The Globe is delighted to announce the complete cast and creative team for Looking for Christmas, the new Clint Black Christmas musical, inspired by the country music legend's 1995 chart-topping holiday album. With music and lyrics by Clint Black, book by James D. Sasser with Black, based on an idea by Sasser and Black, music supervision and music direction by Matt Hinkley, and directed by Kent Nicholson, Looking for Christmas is currently running through December 16, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $39.00 and are on sale to the general public now.

CHRISTMAS IN SONG Comes to Quality Hill Playhouse

Quality Hill Playhouse continues its annual tradition of presenting holiday music in a cabaret setting when CHRISTMAS IN SONG opens November 23. The production features the theatre company's signature blend of sacred and secular Christmas songs, including beloved carols ("Silent Night," "Go Tell It On The Mountain," "Joy to the World!"), classical favorites ("O Holy Night," "Ave Maria"), popular tunes ("White Christmas," Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song," Barry Manilow's "Because It's Christmas"), songs from treasured holiday television specials ("Christmas Time Is Here" from A Charlie Brown Christmas, "The Peace Carol" and "When The River Meets The Sea" from John Denver and The Muppets: A Christmas Together), and even a few hilarious surprises. Vocalists Lauren Bradshaw, Brad Dawdy, and Lindsey McKee, led by pianist/emcee J. Kent Barnhart, will lighten the hearts and souls of audiences with the wonder and joy of the season through some of its most beautiful music.

Pacific Symphony Serves Up Tchaikovsky's Holiday Hit, The Nutcracker Suite, With A Side Of Jazz

Pacific Symphony's initial December concert hints at holiday celebrations to come with a program entitled Holiday Classics: Nutcracker Sweet, (Dec. 6, 7 and 8). Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2 with Markus Groh as soloist opens the program. The rest of the program includes Vaughan Williams' majestic work for string orchestra, 'Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis' and selections from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker alongside arrangements of Tchaikovsky's music by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. These concerts include image magnification for audiences to get a closer look at the music making projected onto big screens in the concert hall. Concerts begin at 8 p.m., with a preview talk hosted by Alan Chapman at 7 p.m. This program, sponsored by Michelle F. Rohe Distinguished Piano Fund, is presented by the Hal & Jeanette Segerstrom Family Foundation, The Westin South Coast Plaza Costa Meza, PBS SoCal and Classical KUSC. Tickets start at $25. THE GREAT ELF ADVENTURE Returns To Way Off Broadway

In 2015, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre added a new holiday production to its Children's Theatre collection with the world premiere of its original musical comedy The Great Elf Adventure. Over the years, many adaptations of holiday stories have appeared on the WOB stage including Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree, Frosty the Snowman, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Clara and the Nutcracker Prince. The Great Elf Adventure is based on one of the most popular characters to appear at the theatre, Jingles the Elf.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical soars into the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) on Tuesday, December 4. The story tells the tale of a young Rudolph who, because of the appearance of his bright, shining nose, is excluded from the Reindeer Games. He flees Christmastown and meets up with new friends Hermey the Elf and Yukon Cornelius. After finding The Island of Misfit Toys, Rudolph journeys home, where a snowstorm of epic proportions is threatening Christmas. Can Rudolph rescue his family and friends and help Santa save the holiday?

Make or continue a holiday tradition! Holiday Pops returns to the historic Capitol Center for the Arts in Downtown Concord on Sunday, December 23. The festive annual event features performances from the Capital Jazz Orchestra, guest vocalists CJ Poole and Laura Daigle, and narrator Laura Knoy of NHPR who will be reciting her traditional version of 'The Night Before Christmas.'  The performance is sponsored by Northeast Delta Dental.

AMC has viewers covered this holiday season with “AMC Best Christmas Ever,” its largest slate of holiday programming ever featuring 35 films and 18 specials, airing all day, every day. Beginning Monday, November 26 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming marathon will offer up more than 600 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films, as well as the television debut of Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You (2017).
