Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast for the world premiere of Kiss My Aztec! John Leguizamo teams up with Artistic Director Tony Taccone for this musical comedy, following their collaboration on the hit one-man show Latin History for Morons, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway. Leguizamo will serve as co-writer and co-lyricist only for Kiss My Aztec! - 11 other talented actors will perform in this production. Taccone will also direct.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, top comedians and celebrity guests will join sports superstars John and Patrick McEnroe and Andy Cohen at the third annual You Cannot Be Serious! evening of comedy at Carolines on Broadway from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. Proceeds will benefit the Johnny Mac Tennis Project, a transformative youth tennis initiative founded by McEnroe.

On this day in 1998, Tony Award-winner John Leguizamo made his Broadway debut in the solo show Freak.

Macy Medford and Arden Guice may only be college students, but their performances as Violet and Daisy Hilton, the heroines of Side Show - the iconic musical by Bill Russell, Henry Krieger and Bill Condon that debuted on Broadway some 20 years ago - in Belmont University Musical Theatre's production that runs for just one weekend, are nothing less than a professional triumph for each young woman. Thoroughly committed and startlingly focused, Medford and Guice perform an oftentimes tricky, always challenging, task in order that the two young women effectively become their characters, ensuring the musical packs an emotional wallop delivered straight to the collective heart of its audience, while showcasing the evolution of a musical theatre program at the Nashville university, which over the years has gained a national reputation as the training ground of the next generations of Broadway stars yet to be.

Grammy winning singer / songwriter, John Berry, celebrated his new single, “Beautifully Broken,” the title track for the exhilarating new feature film of the same name at the red carpet VIP Premiere Monday evening. The single has been #1 on the Christian Music Weekly Chart for 5 weeks and in the top ten since charting 23 weeks ago. “Beautifully Broken” is currently at #34 on the MusicRow Country Charts and continues to rise, breaking a 22 year stretch for charting a single on radio. The song was also added to Spotify's New Traditions: Country Heroes Playlist.

Designed and directed by Jeff Becker, who leads a team of fellow New Orleans-based artists, Sea of Common Catastrophe follows three long-time residents of a tiny seaside town whose lives are uprooted when a compelling stranger arrives. Inspired by a passage from Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novella Sea of Lost Time-where a town drowns on a Sunday afternoon but persists, submerged, in its daily life, as if the deluge had never occurred-Sea of Common Catastrophe uses spectacular lighting and video, live music, and an innovative two-story set to evoke a changing landscape of upscale living and chic restaurants that suddenly transforms into a magical sunken world.

On Sunday night, John Leguizamo won a Special Tony Award for his numerous contributions to the theatre. Accepting his award, he started his speech saying, 'I'm an immigrant, and I'm not an animal.' See Leguizamo's Fell Acceptance Speech Here.

Watch/share the official video for EELS' song “Bone Dry” off of their new album The Deconstruction, out today on E Works/[PIAS]. The stop-motion video was produced by Starburns Industries' Duke Johnson and Dino Stamatopoulos, the team behind Charlie Kaufman's Anomalisa, and directed by Sofia Astrom, who noted, “E really liked Duke Johnson's idea of dancing skeletons for “Bone Dry.” My co-producer and art director Tony Candelaria and I knew that we needed the best skeleton animator in the world, so we brought in Anthony Scotts (Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride) to help us make E's skeletons come to life.”

LOVE NEVER DIES is an unnecessary sequel to the megahit PHANTOM that wisely skips Broadway and hits the national tour road for ALW fans. The ladies of this evening rule even though the guys are (supposed to be) in charge of the action in this passable evening of musical theatre.
