Alina Robert to Star in THE ROAR OF THE BUTTERFLIES on Star+

Alina Robert has been cast in a new lead supporting role in the upcoming drama series The Roar of the Butterflies, portraying one of the three legendary Dominican activist Mirabal sisters, Patria Mirabal. This will be one of the first exclusive series acquired by Star+, part of The Walt Disney Company Latin America.

Cherry Lane Theatre, the oldest continuously running Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, has a new owner, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre’s Executive Director since having acquired the building in 1996.  Cherry Lane is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.

The American civil war drama 'Honey in the Rock' has been performed exclusively at Theatre West Virginia since 1961. The show, which opens July 8 and continues until July 13, tells the story of the turbulent times of the war between the states that led to the creation of the state of West Virginia as it split off from Virginia.

SYBARITE5 Releases New Album, Embarks on Tour

On March 20, 2020, Sybarite5, the first string quintet ever to win the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, celebrates the release of its fourth album, Live from New York, It's Sybarite5 [BTSC-0131/1 CD], a recording featuring live performances from Chelsea's The Cell, a performance space the innovative string quintet has called its New York home for more than a decade. The quintet's second album on the Bright Shiny Things label features newly commissioned world premiere works by Brandon Ridenour, Ehsan Matoori, Steven Snowden, and Michael Dellaira; and string quintet premieres of works by William Brittelle, Marc Mellits, Aleksandra Vrebalov, and John Coltrane. Guest artists for the album include co-artistic director of Silkroad, Grammy® winning percussionist Shane Shanahan; renowned santoor player Ehsan Matoori; and acclaimed mezzo-soprano Blythe Gaissert. In addition to CD format, the album will be available as a high-resolution download (96kHz 24-bit FLAC), and in limited edition vinyl.
