All four main stage shows in Chenango River Theatre's 2013 season, (Season Sponsor-Empire Toyota of Oneonta), will be regional premieres - the first time each of these noteworthy shows has been produced in the area. Season tickets start as low as $60 for the area's only non-profit theatre company to feature professional actors in every show.

Swing back to a time when music was grand and life seemed easier. Dundalk Community Theatre celebrates the glorious music of the 1940's with a comedy set inside a radio studio, broadcasting a Christmas Special to the boys overseas, fighting the war in 1942. This isn't your typical musical, and not to be missed. The 1940's Radio Hour, runs 6 performances only, from Feb 22 to March 3rd. Individual tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $15 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under.

Silly and even surprisingly touching, TRIASSIC PARQ - THE MUSICAL -- now playing its West Coast Premiere to loud cheers at the Chance Theater in Anaheim Hills through February 24 -- is a fresh new stage show that offers a mosquito-on-the-wall look inside the electrified fences of that fictional dino-populated island, but this time from the point-of-view of the dinosaurs themselves. Bard SummerScape 2013 Season Announced

Russia's profound and far-reaching impact on 20th-century culture will be explored at the 2013 annual Bard SummerScape festival, which once again offers an extraordinary summer of music, opera, theater, dance, film, and cabaret, keyed to the theme of the 24th annual Bard Music Festival, Stravinsky and His World. Presented in the striking Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts and other venues on Bard College's bucolic Hudson River campus, the seven-week festival opens on July 6 with the first of two performances of A Rite (2013) by the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and SITI Company, and closes on August 18 with a party in Bard's beloved Spiegeltent, which returns for the full seven weeks. Complementing the Bard Music Festival's exploration of “Stravinsky and His World,” some of the great Russian-born composer's most captivating compatriots provide key SummerScape highlights. These include the first fully-staged American production of Sergey Taneyev's opera Oresteia; the world premiere of an original stage adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov's seminal novel The Master and Margarita; and a film festival titled “Between Traditions: Stravinsky's Legacy and Russian Emigré Cinema.” Together, SummerScape's offerings will continue Bard's yearlong tenth-anniversary celebrations for the Frank Gehry-designed Fisher Center, which commence with a month of special performances in April.

From now until the awards ceremony on February 24, the film world is abuzz with Oscar predictions. The Music Box Theatre takes this opportunity to take a look at some past award winners and see how this year's crop stacks up!
