Oedipus has a Burning Love and he Can't Help Falling in Love with his Mama. So Don't Be Cruel and miss this musical parody by the theater company the Los Angeles Times calls ?The Masters of Musical Spoofery.?

Revving up for its biggest festival to date, the 6th Annual Moisture Festival kicks off March 11 at ACT, continues at Hales Palladium until April 5, and invites SIFF to join in the boisterous revelry midway through the festival. For the first time ever, the Moisture Festival is collaborating with SIFF to co-present an assortment of Comedy/Variet?/Vaudeville/Burlesque-inspired films. All films in the series will be screened at the state-of-the-art SIFF Cinema and each one is preceded by a live Moisture Festival Variet? performer.
The role of the wily Tartuffe will be tackled by English actor Richard Crawford. He will also double as Madame Perenlle, the benefactor's aged mother. Mr. Crawford Trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq and Rose Bruford College. He has appeared in productions at the La Jolla Playhouse and other prominent regional theatres. Richard served as lead clown in 'Slava's Snowshow' at the Union Square Theater and has directed clown work for Cirque du Soleil's 'Dralion' and 'Petrushka' at Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing he teaches Lecoq technique at S.U.N.Y Purchase.

SPF:3 -'Apply liberally' is Seattle's third annual solo performance theatre festival, and is dedicated to presenting fearless, cutting-edge, diverse performances by solo artists. To kick off this year's festival SPF presents an evening of short solo performances by ten Seattle based performers on March 4th and 5th, 2009 at 8:00 PM.
