If you look up the word 'perfection' in the dictionary, after the actual definition, you'll see a picture… a teeny tiny little picture. Do you know who it's a picture of? William Shakespeare. Don't believe me? Go look it up. Did you see it? Ok… so maybe I lied about the picture of my pal Will being in the dictionary. But someone should seriously consider it, right? Hey, Webster, get on that! While we wait on Webster to do what's right by Will, I'd like to tell you about my experience at Slidell Little Theatre this past weekend for their very unique production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM.

As we approach the series finale of PARENTHOOD, we may consider taking stock of what we have, reveling in past memories, and being forced to look toward the future (of course, all the while, remembering that our past informs our future). Fortunately, that's pretty much what all our favorite characters on the show are doing this week as well. Let's move in for a closer look:

After a (literally) scandalous mid-season finale on November 20, two of our recappers thought it deserved a second look. Jennifer McHugh and Gabrielle 'Gigi' Gervais, logged on to GChat and cyberly rewatched the SCANDAL mid-season finale together. On the next episode of HBO's THE NEWSROOM titled "Oh Shenandoah", incarcerated for contempt, Will (Jeff Daniels) refuses to reveal the name of Neal's (Dev Patel) government source.

Written by Diana Son and directed by Pasadena Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Seema Sueko, STOP KISS stars Sharon Leal (Bill Condon's Dreamgirls, Fox's "Boston Public," and Lionsgate's Addicted), Angela Lin (Broadway's Chinglish), John Sloan (Fox's "Happy Hour"), Brandon Scott (ABC's "Grey's Anatomy"), Amanda Carlin (Liar Liar), and Jeff De Serrano (A&E's "Longmire"). Queens Theatre (QT) presents Sandy Rustin's THE COTTAGE, a romantic comedy directed by Adam Dannheisser (Rock of Ages, resident director/performer). THE COTTAGE, which returns to Queens after a successful run at the Astoria Performing Arts Center, will play a two week limited engagement at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Ivoryton favorite Bruce Connelly returns to the Playhouse stage tonight, October 29th, in the hit Broadway show, Say Goodnight, Gracie. This stunning tour de force invites you to spend an hilarious, heart-warming evening in the uplifting company of the world's favorite and funniest centenarian, George Burns, who spanned one hundred years of American entertainment history. Say Goodnight, Gracie was Broadway's third longest running solo performance show and was nominated for a 2003 Tony Award for BEST PLAY and won the 2003-04 National Broadway Theatre Award for BEST PLAY. 42nd Street Moon kicks off its 22nd season with the rarely seen Richard Rodgers-Stephen Sondheim-Arthur Laurents collaboration DO I HEAR A WALTZ?, starring Broadway's Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show, The Full Monty, Billy Elliot). Based on Arthur Laurents' 1952 play The Time of the Cuckoo, which inspired the Katharine Hepburn movie Summertime, the wistful story follows a lonely American tourist as she finds romance under the enchantment of mid-1960s Venice. Golden Globe and Drama Desk Award winner Michael C. Hall will star in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival, starting Thursday, October 16 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). HEDWIG will mark Hall's first musical theatre role in over a decade having previously made acclaimed runs in the Broadway productions of Cabaret and Chicago. Michael C. Hall's limited engagement in HEDWIG is through Sunday, January 4, 2015. An enduring all-American musical brings many fresh faces to Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre this August as it presents Oklahoma!, the very first collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. This high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys in Western Indian territory at the turn of the century is now on stage through Oct. 5. Columbus Children's Theatre presents Hairspray, July 5th-July 20th at the Columbus Children's Theatre located at 512 Park Street, Columbus, OH.
