The Old Globe presents its third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy Quartet, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance). Harwood received an Academy Award for his screenplay of The Pianist and was nominated for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and The Dresser (also a hit on Broadway and the West End). Quartet will play in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, today, July 25 - August 24, 2014.

Lee has torn a calf muscle which will preclude him from performing for the rest of the season.

Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles (DSALA) presents the 5th Annual TWENTYWONDER, A Carnival of the Mind. The 21 and older fundraising event is hosted for the fourth year in a row by the LA Derby Dolls. TWENTYWONDER is on Saturday, June 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Doll Factory (1910 West Temple Street) in Los Angeles. The evening features Social Distortion's Jonny Two Bags, Dengue Fever, Rudely Interrupted (from Australia), Lucha VaVOOM, LA Derby Dolls, The Lampshades, and much more. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, one of Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved musicals, The King and I, will be brought back to the stage by Lincoln Center Theater in Spring 2015. On the red carpet for tonight's 2014 Tony Awards, long-rumored lead Kelli O'Hara confirmed she's currently in talks to reteam with THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY director, Bartlett Sher, on the revival.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, one of Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved musicals, The King and I, will be brought back to the stage by Lincoln Center Theater in Spring 2015. BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that Tony winner Bartlett will direct the revival. Casting has not yet been announced, though Rodgers and Hammerstein veteran Kelli O'Hara, who just concluded a run in Sher's The Bridges of Madison County, has long been rumored to lead the revival.
