Daniel Radcliffe joins the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in singing for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, the annual holiday CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). He sings 'A Christmas Carol,' by humorist and composer Tom Lehrer.

Jeremy Woodard to Take on Stacee Jaxx in ROCK OF AGES, 10/3

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES announced today that Jeremy Woodard will officially take over the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' on Monday, October 3, 2011. Woodard has understudied the role since performances began on Broadway on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. In addition to ROCK OF AGES, Woodard's theatre credits include Glory Days, Hairspray, and Miss Saigon. MiG Ayesa, who has performed the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' since ROCK OF AGES moved to the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 24, 2011, will play his final performance on Sunday, September 25. During the interim week, the role will be covered by an understudy.

On the Square Productions, an award winning not for profit theatre company, announces their season on August 29th, 2011. On the Square has worked with has worked with such talents as Cyrilla Baer (The Adding Machine, Uncle Vanya at CSC), Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd, Rockof Ages, Candide-Helen Hayes Award, Ten Cents a Dance-Williamstown), Wesley Taylor (Rock of Ages, The Addams Family, Tales From the City- ACT), Marnie Schulenburg (As The World Turns, South Pacific- Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival). Highlights for the upcoming season include readings by playwrights Delaney Britt Brewer (Youngblood Playwrights) and Jacqueline Goldfinger (current semi-finalist F.Otto Haas award for Emerging Philadelphia Theatre Artist, nominee 2010 L. Arnold Weissberger Award). Other highlights include The Festival of Dionysia:Ten Minute Play Festival, and a site specific production of The Minervae by Steven Bost for the Queens community. On the Square Productions is currently nominated for a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Best Short Script for their 2010 production at The Flea Theater of Monroe, Illinois: Over Here/Townie by Aaron Wigdor Levy (Public Theatre Emerging Writers Group).

The American premiere of John Doyle's Ten Cents a Dance opens today on the Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) Main Stage. The refined production of the new Rodgers and Hart musical, which Doyle first conceived at England's Watermill Theatre, marks the first time a new musical has ever been presented on WTF's Main Stage. Ten Cents a Dancewill be the final presentation on the Main Stage for the 2011 Season at WTF, running August 11, 2011 through August 28, 2011 and opening August 12, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.Ten Cents a Dance is a co-production with McCarter Theatre Center. Performances at McCarter Theatre Center begin September 9, 2011. Billy Elliot has been electrifying Toronto audiences since it opened in March, and recently saw the addition of some new cast members as Toronto actors David Keeley and Jake Epstein joined the show in the roles of Billy's father and brother respectively. David Keeley, most recently seen as Dennis in the Toronto production of Rock of Ages, sat down to talk to BWW about the challenges associated with coming into the production after its been up and running for so long, and the differences between Billy Elliot and Rock of Ages.
