Spinning Tree Theatre proudly announces the 2019-20 season of four mainstage productions. The company will also inaugurate their Youth Theatre Project, a two-week musical theatre intensive for teenagers to be held June 10-23, 2019. Additionally, they will continue the Spinning Tree Sings! cabaret series featuring Kansas City-based musical theatre and jazz vocalists. Spinning Tree will produce its ninth season at Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC), which presented its first awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Ventura County a half-century ago, has begun the gala celebration of its 50th anniversary by announcing its nominations for the year 2018 (Dec. 1, 2017 - Nov. 30, 2018).

The Dramatists Legal Defense Fund ("DLDF") is pleased to present the third annual Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret in fifteen cities as a part of Banned Books Week (September 24-29) the annual celebration of the freedom to read. Northern Stage announces its 2018-19 Season, a season of plays connected by a theme of peace in a turbulent world. She will be joined by a Brazilian jazz ensemble which includes Oriente Lopez on piano, Jorge Continentino on flute and sax, Itaiguara Brandão on bass, and Samuel Martinelle on drums. Her show highlights a blend of original songs from her internationally acclaimed 'Bossa Nova Baby' CD plus a selection of exclusive arrangements of bossa classics and samba hits.

There is ofttimes a quality difference from non-equity versus equity tours. The former is comprised of young actors earning their stripes. For many it is their first tour. Any deviation from a highly professional, class A production was not evident with CABARET, at The Playhouse through March 18. This is a great, glamorous and gripping show.

David F. Slone has been blessed to spend much of his life attending and performing in fabulous shows. Nonetheless, he's particularly giddy to be able to celebrate his the culmination of his fifth decade on the planet by presenting this ridiculously eclectic evening of song, dance, magic, circus, comedy, and more!
