WICA Presents FROST/NIXON, 6/8-23
Frost/Nixon is the story of the historic encounter between British talk-show host David Frost, who had become a lowbrow laughing-stock and Richard M. Nixon who had just resigned the United States presidency in total disgrace over Vietnam and the Watergate scandal. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract an apology from Nixon. The cagey Nixon, however, is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation's eyes. Nixon intended to easily outfox Frost, but as cameras rolled, a chargEd Battle of wits resulted. In the television age, image is king, and both men are desperate to out-talk and upstage each other as the cameras roll. The result is the interview that sealed a president's legacy.
The Frost/Nixon cast includes Ken Church (Nixon), Jim Scullin (Frost), Jim Carroll, Tom Churchill, Steve Ford, Sophie Frank, ElizaBeth Grant, Ed Halloran, Mikkel Hustad, Michael Morgen, Darcy Noonan, Adam Schultz, Tristan A.B. Steel, Bob Thurmond, Dwight Zehm, and Don Zontine.
Frost/Nixon is directed by Richard Evans, who also directed Seduced in 2006 at WICA.
