As film studios prepare to push their all-important holiday releases, TWISTED FLICKS at Jet City Improv is turning down the noise and turning up the laughs with three old movies that prove they sure don't make them like they used to.

At Seattle's only live and improvised movie re-dubbing show, even the strangest movies can feel like this season's new hit comedy when a cast of improvisers seated in the front row deliver all-new dialogue, music, and sound effects based on suggestions from the audience. Every month features a new film projected on Jet City Improv's full-size movie screen and every performance is based on suggestions from that night's audience, thereby assuring no performance is ever the same as the night before.

This fall's lineup proves that even after nineteen years of making bad movies better, there will never be a shortage of weird movies for TWISTED FLICKS to choose from.

October's re-dubbing will feature the 1958 monster movie "The Blob" starring Steve McQueen on Oct 29 at 8pm and Oct 31 at 7pm. The special Monday night performance on Halloween will include free trick-or-treat candy for every audience member that attends in costume and special "Shoot the Blob" Jell-O shots available for purchase at the bar.

A few weeks later, TWISTED FLICKS will celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend by providing a new soundtrack for the 1984 space opera "The Last Starfighter" on Nov 25 and 26 at 8pm.

Finally, a live re-dubbing of the Rankin and Bass stop-motion classic "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" from 1976 will close out the year with performances on Dec 29 and 30 at 8pm.

Advance tickets to all performances are $15 for general admission ($18 at the door), $12 for students, seniors, military personnel, and TPS members ($15 at the door). The auditorium will open thirty minutes prior to showtime to allow for audience members to submit their suggestions to the performers.

In keeping with a proud tradition at TWISTED FLICKS and in the spirit of Jet City Improv's outreach work, audience members can receive a free small popcorn at the concessions stand in exchange for bringing a nonperishable food item for the Northwest Harvest donation box located in the lobby.
