On December 31st 2012, the Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is launching a new web initiative, STGtv, our online channel for all things behind-the-scenes. What you will find on STGtv are interviews with artists, show rehearsal clips, video highlights from some of our most treasured community programs and more. This is our way of extending the experience in our theatres for our fans, friends, and community.

From home, at work or on your smart phone, you'll have STGtv, available 24-7.

In addition to the behind-the-scenes footage, viewers will get insights from cast members from Broadway shows; ever wonder how the horse from War Horse takes his breath? Find out on STGtv. View discussions with set designers, crew members, performers and more. STGtv is where you can ride along as we take our Education & Community Programs into local neighborhoods - from the Dance for Parkinson's program in Central Seattle, to dance master classes at Velocity Dance Center in Capitol Hill, as well as dance workshops at Northwest Tap Connection in Rainer Beach.

"The work we do at Seattle Theatre Group is broad, diverse and can be difficult to articulate. With STGtv we have a means for not only take people behind the scenes but also sharing the breath and depth of our many community-based programs," said Vivian Phillips, Director of Marking and Communications (STG). "STGtv gives us a platform for increasing the dialogue between artists and audiences as well, something we always delight in making possible," she added.

Regularly updated episodes will be available online beginning December 31st. STGtv is produced by Seattle Theatre Group in collaboration with a number of local videographers.
