Summer Production Schedule:

The Tempest
(in tandem with our professional summer season production)
July 18 - 22 | Volunteer Park
Monday - Friday | 9am to 2pm

The storm is coming! This summer we are taking on Shakespeare's magical "desert island" tale! Before Harry Potter, there was Shakespeare's Prospero, a lonely wizard exiled to an island in the middle of a stormy sea, aching for revenge against those villains (or should we say "Super Villains") that sent him there. For years, Prospero's only company has been his brave young daughter, an airy magical spirit, and a horrifying monster. THE TEMPEST is a summer adventure you will never forget!

Romeo and Juliet
July 25 - 29 | Volunteer Park
Monday - Friday | 9am to 2pm

Here we have the buoyant spirit of youth in every line, the rapturous intoxication of hope, and in the bitterness of despair. The greatest love story of all time features the feuding Montagues and Capulets with Romeo and Juliet deep in the center of the conflict trying desperately to be united.

Comedy of Errors
August 1 - 5 | Lincoln Park, West Seattle
Monday - Friday | 9am to 2pm

COMEDY OF ERRORS hilariously tells the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of Syracuse, arrive in Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of their twin brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant, Dromio of Ephesus. Pure fun full of wild mishaps, mistaken identity and confusion abound.

Hamlet
August 8 - 14 | Lincoln Park, West Seattle
Monday - Friday | 9am to 2pm

Perhaps the best-known of Shakespeare's tragedies, HAMLET has all the ingredients for a gripping story: revenge and power, familial love and betrayal, dramatic sword fights, dark spooky scenes.

A very special offering in association with Magnuson Park Community Center

Merry Wives of Windsor
July 11 - 16 | *Magnuson Park Amphitheater
Monday - Friday | 9am to 3pm
Performance at 10:00am on Saturday 7/16/11

Light and frothy, WIVES is filled with fanciful delights and mistaken identities, all ending happily with a suitable moral to boot.  This sunny comedy is awash with wit, deception, and the fun to be had when one of literature's most beloved larger-than-life personalities makes the mistake of underestimating small-town folk. Special Registration required.

ABOUT GREENSTAGE'S 2011 THEATRE CAMPS:

GreenStage's educational programs support the values of successful learning and include summer shows for ages 8-17. Our theatre camps take each student on a personal journey through the world of Shakespeare. Their natural imaginations will be embraced and nurtured as their ability to focus and work as a team increases. All offerings focus on positive reinforcement and esteem building skills as our young artists explore Shakespeare's mind-expanding concepts and beautiful world vision. Our instructors create supportive environments in the beauty of the Seattle area parks where we have been staging our professional shows for 22 years. Each week-long camp ends with a free performance (picnic recommended) in the parks for family and friends.
