Tell us a bit about An Evening With An Immigrant.

I sit on a barstool for 90 minutes and tell a ridiculous story of leaving Nigeria and trying to settle in Britain. It has more twist and turns than Brexit. Actually, it doesn't, (coz daymn) But nearly through. And I created the show before Brexit, but Brexit threw it into a political context I did not intend when I wrote it. In fact, I only called it An Evening With An Immigrant because what little ego I have couldn't carry An Evening With Inua Ellams. Karma sorted that right out.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

You have to come to the show to see the reason why... the reason why is in the show! It marks one of the biggest turning points in the story... it all started back in 2009.... #Fringefirst

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

The simplicity and the absolute truth and ridiculousness of the story... also, it engages with Scotland's current fight/debate for Independence... all from a Nigerian Immigrant proud-girly/boys's point of view; I'm throwing you curveballs and angles. Just come.

Who would you recommend comes to see your show?

Folks who like good stories. Story tellers and listeners. Those who like stand up. Poetry fans. Podcast listeners. Basketball fans. Ukip Supporters. Those who work in the Immigration industry. Those who like to reduce their degrees of separation from the Queen. Political commentators. Underdog Supporters. Leavers and remains. My Scottish Ex Girlfriend.

Are there any other performances you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Are you kidding?! I almost don't want to do my show! Lots, too many to list, but a lot of poetry friends are working up there and tonnes of international companies I wanna check out.
