Stage and screen legend Angela Lansbury will make a rare public speaking appearance on October 8th at Cuesta College Performing Arts Center in San Luis Obispo, California. The fundraising event will benefit St. Paul's Episcopal Church in seaside Cambria.

"A Conversation with Angela Lansbury" will feature a half-hour long film presentation of highlights from her illustrious career, followed by an interview conducted by the church's Rev. Brian Palmer, with an audience Q&A to end the evening.

San Luis Obispo's Tribune reports that Lansbury was a frequent visitor to Cambria when the area was used to shoot locations as the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine in her long-running television series, MURDER, SHE WROTE.

Angela Lansbury recently completed a tour as Madame Arcati in Noel Coward's BLITHE SPIRIT, a role for which she received her fifth Tony Award in 2009 and her first Olivier Award in 2015. She'll be turning 90 on October 16th.
